Cette production au Théâtre des Champs-Elysées n’est pas anodine puisque c’est la toute première fois que Theodora est joué à Paris. Pour cet événement, l’excellence est au rendez-vous aussi bien sur scène que dans la fosse d’orchestre : les voix de Katherine Watson, Stéphanie d’Oustrac et Philippe Jarousskys’ajoutent aux notes des Arts Florissants, dirigé par William Christie. Le tout est sublimé par une mise en scène signée Stephen Langridge, nouveau directeur de l’Opéra de Göteborg.
